PROJECT OVERVIEW

A lifetime of inspiration, crafted into a magnificent “forever home.” Built in 2019, Retreat House arose from the very specific vision of the homeowners, who collected ideas from their travels over a number of years.

Hatcliff Construction brought their clients’ dream house to life, using brick, Tennessee fieldstone, and James Hardie shake and siding to construct a unique 7,500-square-foot residence in The Grove, one of the Nashville area’s premier private club communities. Among the home’s distinctive features is a stunning stone courtyard with a custom iron gate and a front porch outfitted with functional louver shutters, which allow the space to easily transition from social to intimate.

“I love all the wonderful outdoor spaces on this home,” says Mary Hatcliff, who owns Hatcliff Construction along with her husband, Patrick. “The Timberlane shutters placed on the end of the front porch create a private dining retreat protected from the sun.”
